I am a software engineer, architect, manager, and technologist. I enjoy building beautiful and usable software, both as an individual contributor and as a leader in service of engineering teams. I believe in software as a bicycle for the mind, so I focus on products that empower people.

My experience so far has centered on the Apple ecosystem, but I always enjoy learning new things. My other technical interests include devops, networks, and video streaming, which I fiddle with in my spare time.

I am currently working as a software engineering manager at Apple, responsible for parts of the Shortcuts product and associated APIs, as well as other customizable system experiences across all of Apple’s platforms. Most recently, my team and I have been building the App Intents framework to allow developers to integrate with Shortcuts and Siri, as well as related features such as Focus Filters and the Action Button on the Apple Watch Ultra.
